From a very young age, I had dreams of becoming a professional basketball player, with hopes of one day outshining Michael Jordan. Unfortunately, that didn’t quite work out. So, after coming to the realisation that I more than likely wasn’t going to make it to Jordan’s level, let alone the big leagues, my career path and main focus somewhat shifted. In saying that, I am now an aspiring journalist, writer and media producer among other things. It should also be noted that I’m a foodie and love coffee.
Academically, after receiving a Certificate IV in Communications and Media Studies from TAFE in 2010, I then went on to graduate from the University of Wollongong in 2013, with a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies – majoring in both Journalism and Digital Media and Communication.
In addition to freelancing, I am regular correspondent on Pulse 94.1 Radio’s Sports Weekly and am both the co-founder and editor-in-chief for In Jeans and Joggers. I also previously founded and managed the basketball blog, Courtside Bunker, worked as the Social Multimedia Facilitator for the Illawarra Academy of Sport, was the Community Relations Coordinator for Lighthouse and was a writer for PRIMO! Magazine under the pseudonym Textbook.
To sum things up, I am passionate about making something of myself in life.
